Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 9, 2026

Overview

Prism is a browser extension that filters social media feeds locally on your device using keyword-based scoring. Feed content is not uploaded to Prism servers. Pro licensing and payments do contact our API and Stripe as described below. We collect as little data as possible.

What We Collect

Extension settings (local only)

Your mood profiles, blocked/allowed categories, focus schedule, and display preferences are stored exclusively in your browser via chrome.storage.sync. This data never leaves your device except via Chrome's own sync infrastructure (if enabled), governed by Google's privacy policy.

Analytics (local only)

Screen time, filtered item counts, and per-platform statistics are computed and stored locally. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

License verification

If you subscribe to Prism Pro, checkout completion exchanges a Stripe session for a signed license token (one-time). The extension verifies that token locally and may refresh it with our API. We do not unlock Pro from an email address alone. The token contains your checkout email and subscription status claims and is stored in chrome.storage.local for the token lifetime (typically 24 hours, then refreshed).

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number, CVC, or billing address. Stripe provides us only with a customer ID and subscription status.

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Significant changes will be noted in the extension's update notes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
