What is Prism?

Prism is a browser extension that filters social media feeds using keyword rules that run locally in your browser. Feed content is not uploaded to Prism servers.

Is Prism free?

Yes. Prism is free on YouTube with mood profiles, custom rules, break reminders, local stats, and focus scheduling. Pro unlocks the same keyword engine on TikTok, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Reddit, and Facebook. New Pro subscribers get a 7-day trial (card required; charged after the trial unless you cancel). Pro is $8/mo or $72/yr ($6/mo): 7 platforms, Gems, no account, no daily filter cap. Structural hides are best-effort on some sites.

How does the Pro trial work?

First-time Pro checkout gets 7 days free. Stripe saves your card; you are charged only if you stay after the trial. One trial per person — if that email (including common Gmail aliases) already used a Prism trial or subscription, checkout goes straight to paid. Cancel any time from the billing portal.

Does Prism send my feed to the cloud?

By default, no. Keyword filtering runs on your machine. Optional BYOK AI (off unless you paste your own API key) sends only unclassified item text — and on YouTube, thumbnail images — to the provider you choose, not to Prism. Which platforms does Pro include?

Pro adds TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Reddit, and Facebook on top of free YouTube filtering.

What is Gems only?

Gems only inverts the filter: only checked categories, your mood/focus allow-list, and any gem creators you add stay visible — everything else is hidden. It stays idle until you check a category or add a gem creator. Gem creators always show; blocked creators always win over gems. Runs locally, free on YouTube today.

What is Deep Work?

Deep Work is a popup toggle that locks the feed to one keyword category until you turn it off. It ignores the weekday Focus schedule. Same local classifier — not a new AI mode.

Can Prism hide YouTube comments?

Yes, optionally. Hide YouTube comments covers the desktop watch-page comments panel (best-effort). It does not claim Shorts comment drawers or comments on other sites.

How do I install Prism?

See the install guide for Chrome (Load unpacked) and desktop Firefox 140+ (temporary add-on until AMO). Install Prism before Pro checkout so the license can auto-activate. Not Firefox Android.

Does Prism work on Shorts, Reels, or mobile web?

Desktop web feeds are the supported path. Shorts, Reels, and mobile web are best-effort.

Is Prism available in other languages?

v1 ships English UI and English-biased keyword lists. Multilingual support is not claimed yet.
